Management of the Yazd Industrial Estate in Iran has issued a formal complaint to the provincial governor, warning that severe, unannounced daily power cuts are paralyzing local manufacturing. The estate's CEO, Jalil Vaziri, said erratic blackouts lasting two to six hours are destroying production schedules and communication systems across the zone.

The full translated complaint, provided via Gemini, reads:

Dear Mr. Dr. Babaei,
Honorable [:D] Governor of Yazd Province,

Subject: Continuous daily multi-hour power outages without a schedule and exacerbation of the chaotic conditions of industry and production

With greetings; Respectfully, following repeated correspondence and previous follow-ups with Your Excellency and other honorable authorities of the province, it is brought to your attention that in the past two weeks, the electricity of the Yazd industrial estate has been cut off on a daily basis and without a specific schedule, and every day between 2 to 6 hours for different feeders.
Despite follow-ups and negotiations with the electricity distribution company, the honorable electricity officials had promised to improve the conditions from the beginning of Shahrivar [late August] and return to a state of zero blackouts or planned blackouts according to a previous schedule. However, not only did these conditions not improve, but the previous chaotic state intensified and caused ambiguity in industry, production planning, and employment management in industrial units, and on the other hand, it has caused disruption in telecommunication systems and blackouts and insecurity.

In fact, it is not clear for industrialists how long these continuous and daily multi-hour outages will continue and who is accountable for this disarray in decision-making and planning at the level of Tavanir [Iran's Power Generation and Distribution Company] and the distribution company?! In these unstable economic conditions and multiple obstacles ahead, while the enemies of this border and region have openly started and launched an economic war, who other than production and industry, and the industrialist, should another individual or institution support in the front of this economic war? How is it possible to plan for production with the announcement of readiness for daily power outages between 14:00 to 23:00? It is clear that with the slogan and promise of the honorable Minister of Energy and Tavanir, one cannot plan for the factory's production line, and this type of approach towards production will have no result other than the destruction of industry.

Therefore, it is strongly requested that with frankness, honesty, and interaction, you make industrialists aware of the conditions of electricity production and distribution at the provincial and national levels, and for the existing limitations, plan and announce the relevant program to the industrialists, and support industry and industrialists in the battlefield of the economic war in these chaotic conditions.

In advance, I express my utmost gratitude for Your Excellency's favorable and urgent order.

Jalil Vaziri CEO
