The Bahrain Ministry of Interior announced that sirens have been activated across the country. In a statement, the ministry said:

The siren has been activated. We ask citizens and residents to remain calm, head to the nearest safe place, and follow news through official channels.

The reason for the alert has not yet been disclosed.
