IRGC-owned Tasnim News Agency published a report stating that if Israel does not withdraw from Lebanon, all negotiations will cease and Iran will enter a phase of severe retaliation if Israeli occupation and crimes continue.
Tasnim cited information indicating that if Article 1 of the Islamabad Agreement between the U.S. and Iranian presidents — which mandates an end to war on all fronts, including Lebanon, and guarantees Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity — is not fulfilled, all negotiations between Iran and the U.S. on other issues will be suspended.
The report described a clear directive: no action should be taken by Iran without the implementation of all necessary provisions for the commencement of negotiations, specifically Article 13. Article 13 emphasizes that the initiation of any negotiation process is contingent upon the implementation of Article 1. If Article 1 is operationalized, understanding and negotiations will begin; otherwise, negotiations are fundamentally illogical.
Some analyses in the report suggest that the United States, by delaying Iran in negotiations and allowing Israel a free hand in Lebanon, intends to prevent severe Iranian actions against Israel and the U.S., thereby managing time in favor of the Zionist regime.
