Sh1n reposted the first installment of a thread from @AlexiaNoel94927 comparing Saudi Arabia’s military spending with that of several European countries and SIPRI’s recorded total for Africa. The post stressed that the overall budget cannot by itself explain an interception failure but argued that the scale of spending raises questions about the protection delivered.
The repost read:
1|4 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia spent $83.2bn on its military in 2025. Why are missiles still reaching its airports and killing civilians?
That exceeded France’s $68bn and almost matched Spain, the Netherlands and Sweden combined ($85.6bn). It also exceeded SIPRI’s recorded African total of $58.2bn, which excludes three countries.
The budget covers the whole military. It cannot explain an interception failure. But it makes the question harder to dismiss: how much protection has that money actually delivered⁉️
