The Israel Defense Forces announced the elimination of two senior terrorists in the Gaza Strip over the past weekend (Saturday, June 13, 2026). The operations were reported by the IDF's Farsi-language account.
In southern Gaza, an IDF strike killed Mohammad Saeed Ahmad Nimrouti, a squad commander in the Hamas terrorist organization. Nimrouti infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and, throughout the war, played a role in holding a large number of hostages captive in Hamas tunnels.
In a separate strike in central Gaza, the IDF killed Muawiya Suleiman Zaqr Aidi, a squad commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's central camps brigade. Aidi participated in the assault on Kibbutz Be'eri during the October 7 massacre.
According to the IDF, both terrorists had been advancing terrorist plots against Israeli forces and civilians in recent periods; Aidi was also involved in planting explosives. They were killed in precise strikes after being identified as an immediate threat to IDF troops operating in Gaza. Steps were taken to mitigate civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
The IDF emphasized that its forces, under Southern Command, are deployed in the area in accordance with agreements and will continue to act to remove any immediate threats.
