US ORBAT - Tankers - 07/SEP/2026 #IranWar‌

An update to my tankers ORBAT (last posted 19/AUG/2026) to show the numbers of KC-135 and KC-46 tankers across the region available in the event of further hostilities with Iran. Several CENTCOM bases now back in regular use for the first time since before the war began, and an overall reduction in the size of the tanker presence across Europe as aircraft rotate in/out of the region. Types as follows:

KC-46A "Pegasus"
RED ZONE: 5 in 🇮🇱 Israel, 12 in 🇶🇦 Qatar
ORANGE ZONE: NIL
GREEN ZONE: 12 in 🇵🇹 Lajes
TOTAL: 29

KC-135R "Stratotanker"
RED ZONE: 23 in 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia, 53 in 🇮🇱 Israel, 7 in 🇦🇪 UAE
ORANGE ZONE: 9 in 🇫🇷 France (coastal), 8 in 🇬🇷 Greece, 7 in 🇮🇹 Italy, 16 in 🇷🇴 Romania
GREEN ZONE: 16 in 🇬🇧 UK, 1 in 🇩🇪 Germany, 5 in 🇫🇷 France (inland)
TOTAL: 145

KC-135T "Stratotanker"
RED ZONE: 1 in 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia, 4 in 🇮🇱 Israel, 3 in 🇦🇪 UAE
ORANGE ZONE: 1 in 🇬🇷 Greece, 3 in 🇮🇹 Italy, 4 in 🇷🇴 Romania
GREEN ZONE: 5 in 🇬🇧 UK
TOTAL: 21

GRAND TOTAL: 195 in CENTCOM/EUCOM
(Increase of 9 airframes from last update on 19th August 2026, transfers of longer-deployed airframes has settled down now)
