According to The New York Times, a Pentagon assessment issued several months ago examined the Chinese military’s access to bases in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh’s use of Chinese technology in its communications infrastructure, and whether the United States and Saudi Arabia could adequately secure sites housing sensitive F-35 technology.
