Japan's Ministry of Defense announces that an object possibly launched from North Korea no longer poses a danger to surrounding areas.
The Japan Ministry of Defense/Self-Defense Forces (JMOD/JSDF) issued a follow-up update on the earlier ballistic missile alert:
The object no longer affects the surrounding areas of Japan.
The initial notice, posted earlier, stated:
An object that may be a ballistic missile has been launched from North Korea. JMOD/JSDF will provide updates as soon as further information becomes available.
