Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned a drone attack originating from Iraq that targeted the East-West pipeline across the Riyadh and Madinah regions.

The attack resulted in human injuries and property damage, which authorities are addressing.

Following a direct appeal from the Iraqi Prime Minister for time to implement security measures to halt cross-border attacks, the Saudi leadership said:

Saudi leadership chose to exercise military restraint to support neighboring stability.

Despite withholding an immediate counter-response, Saudi Arabia maintained that it reserves all sovereign rights to implement necessary measures to protect its borders, critical infrastructure, citizens, and residents.
