Retweet of @manniefabian by @hey_itsmyturn: The Israeli Air Force says it carried out "large-scale" airstrikes in Tehran targeting a massive Iranian military compound, which housed headquarters and personnel from across Iran's security apparatus. According to the IDF, the strikes used over 100 fighter jets and more than 250 bombs were dropped on the compound in eastern Tehran. The targeted complex included the headquarters of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the IRGC Quds Force, the intelligence directorate, the Basij paramilitary force, Iran's cyber unit, the special forces unit of the internal security forces, and a unit for protest suppression. The military stated that the headquarters were struck while personnel responsible for managing the campaign, advancing terror plans against Israel and regional countries, and suppressing Iranian civilians were operating inside.
