Iran's state-owned Mehr News reported that Hadi Mohammadpour, a Member of Parliament representing Mashhad, dismissed President Donald Trump's claim that Iran downed a U.S. Apache helicopter. In an interview, Mohammadpour characterized Trump's statements as psychological warfare.

Mohammadpour responded:

"Trump's assertions are less grounded in reality and more consistent with his habitual strategy of psychological warfare in the digital sphere. His statements, whether concerning agreements with Iran or military threats, are entirely unreliable and untrustworthy."

He added:

"Trump's volatile character and impulsive, shifting decisions indicate that his words cannot be taken seriously."

Mohammadpour also warned:

"Should the United States intend to violate a ceasefire or commit any act of aggression, Iran will not hesitate to defend itself. All American military bases in the region are within the range of our defensive capabilities. If the enemy dares to act, Iran will deliver a strong and decisive response to any threat."
