An analysis shared by @BenTzionMacales and retweeted by Sh1n (@hey_itsmyturn) highlights the strategic significance of a target struck in Iran:
One of the strategic targets hit last night in Iran was the Shahid Mirzaei crossing. This is a tunnel along Highway 71, a key route connecting Bandar Abbas directly to Tehran via Yazd.
It's nicknamed "the Bottleneck" (گلوگاه), and is well deserved.
The surrounding topography leaves no practical bypass route between central Iran and Bandar Abbas within a corridor more than 100 kilometers wide. Any alternative route would require a major detour, resulting in significantly higher transportation and fuel costs.
If this disruption is sustained at this location, the economic and logistical impact will only continue to accumulate.
