Numerous IRGC-affiliated Telegram channels and IRGC-owned Tasnim reported massive explosions in Kuwait. The initial reports had not been independently confirmed.

Naya subsequently cited a security source in Kuwait as saying:

The attack was carried out by drones of the Shahed 136 type. One of the drones was shot down near the border triangle between Iran, Iraq, and Kuwait. An Iraqi army force is heading towards the location to detonate the warhead.

The reported explosions, drone attack, interception and warhead-recovery operation remain unconfirmed.
