Sh1n (@hey_itsmyturn) reposted the following assessment from @MoloWarMonitor, which emphasized that the suspected target could not be confirmed without information from U.S. officials:
Last night, Iran launched anti-ship ballistic missiles, likely targeting U.S. Navy warships in the Gulf of Oman, just as occurred the last time they fired this type of missile.
However, there is currently no way to confirm this hypothesis unless U.S. officials issue official statements or brief the media, as has happened in previous instances.
In my opinion, if Iran did indeed target an American aircraft carrier and its strike group with missiles, it is highly likely that the U.S. will respond tonight, perhaps by attacking Iranian oil tankers, which would result in further ballistic missile launches against U.S. bases.
