In a statement posted by @IsraelWarRoom and retweeted by Sh1n, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said:
“There has never been, and there is currently no restriction on IDF soldiers operating in Lebanon to remove threats.
Following the attack on our forces, the IDF responded with great force, eliminating a very large number of Hezbollah terrorists and striking numerous terrorist infrastructures.
Protecting the lives of our soldiers and citizens is our highest and absolute priority.
All of the IDF’s achievements in the campaign in Lebanon are being maintained, with our forces deployed in the security zone along the Yellow Line in Lebanon and operating from there against terrorists and terrorist infrastructure.
The ceasefire announced yesterday leaves the IDF in all of its positions within the security zone that protects the communities of northern Israel.
As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have made clear: Israel will not withdraw from the security zone in Lebanon.”
