Tasnim News Agency, an outlet owned by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has denied reports that President Masoud Pezeshkian has resigned.
The agency specifically targeted Iran International, labeling it a "Mossad-affiliated media." Tasnim cited an "informed source" to assert that the president did not step down:
"Mr. President didn't resign, was working today, and will continue his work as planned," an informed source told Tasnim.
The swift nature of the denial has drawn skepticism. The user who surfaced the report noted that such rapid rebuttals from IRGC media often signal the opposite is true.
