IRGC-owned Fars News cited an informed source denying Axios’ report of new talks between Iran and the United States.
The source said:
“It was fabricated mainly to manage markets and oil prices.”
The source also denied a report by Al Jazeera’s Tehran bureau chief that Iran had sent technical experts to New York for the talks.
IranA senior Iranian official told Reuters that Tehran would make no nuclear concessions and would keep the Strait of Hormuz closed until its conditions are met.
IranSaudi Arabia and the UAE are reportedly pressing the Trump administration to retain sanctions and the naval blockade on Iran, while Oman and Qatar favor negotiations and a phased reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
IranIRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said Iran would expand the conflict’s geography, choose different targets and deploy previously unused capabilities if attacked again.
