The IRGC-owned Fars News Agency published the following report:

“Fars News Agency reports that the official statement from the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council regarding the ceasefire agreement will be released in a few moments.

According to this report, Iran had canceled its negotiations and prepared to attack the Zionist regime following the assault on Beirut's Dahiyeh district. However, Iran was ultimately persuaded to refrain from the attack due to eleventh-hour concessions offered by the American president, including the preservation of Lebanon's territorial integrity, Israel's withdrawal from the Lebanese border, and the immediate lifting of the blockade.

Additionally, a legal framework for navigation in the Persian Gulf waters is to be established through cooperation between Iran and Oman.”
