Brigadier General Abdollahi of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a warning on June 1, 2026, in response to reported threats by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to bomb the Dahiya district of Beirut and issue evacuation warnings to residents.

Abdollahi stated:

Benjamin Netanyahu, in a continued escalation of his regional aggressions, has threatened to bomb Dahiya and Beirut and issued an evacuation warning to their residents. Considering the regime's repeated violations of the ceasefire, if this threat is actualized, we warn residents of the northern sectors and military settlements in the occupied territories to evacuate the area if they wish to avoid harm.
