U.S. Central Command said Iran struck the disabled Panama-flagged oil tanker El Gaia with a drone this weekend, rejecting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' claim that the vessel had recently hit a naval mine in the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM said an Iranian missile had already struck El Gaia last month and rendered it inoperable. The tanker is being towed off Oman.
