The series of targeted eliminations continues: The IDF has eliminated the Minister of Intelligence of the Iranian regime in Tehran. In a precision airstrike conducted by the Israeli Air Force and guided by Intelligence Directorate (AMAN) directives, the Minister of Intelligence of the Iranian terror regime, Esmaeil Khatib, was eliminated in Tehran overnight on Wednesday. Khatib was appointed to the position of Minister of Intelligence by Ali Khamenei in 2021. In this capacity, Khatib was responsible for the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS)—the regime's primary intelligence body and one of its central apparatuses for domestic suppression and global terrorism. The ministry possesses advanced intelligence capabilities and serves as a key arm for surveillance, espionage, and the execution of covert operations worldwide and against the State of Israel, as well as against Iranian citizens. As Minister of Intelligence, Khatib played a significant role in directing the arrests and killings of protesters and in formulating the operational response during recent internal protests in Iran. Similarly, he acted against Iranian citizens during the "Hijab Protests" of 2022-2023. Alongside his activities against the State of Israel, Khatib led the Iranian Intelligence Ministry's terrorist operations against Israeli and American targets worldwide, and against targets within the State of Israel during Operation "Lion's Roar."
