The Air Force, guided by precise intelligence from Aman, attacked yesterday (Monday) in a focused manner in the heart of Tehran and eliminated Gholam Reza Soleimani, the commander of the Basij unit for the past six years.
The Basij forces are part of the armed forces of the Iranian terror regime.
As part of the internal protests in Iran, especially recently with their intensification, the Basij forces under Soleimani's command led major suppression operations using severe violence, widespread arrests, and the use of force against civilian protesters.
The elimination of Soleimani adds to dozens of senior commanders from the armed forces of the Iranian terror regime who have been eliminated throughout the operation, constituting another severe blow to the regime's security command and control systems.
The IDF will continue to act forcefully against commanders of the Iranian terror regime."
