The IDF stated: "In a precise strike in Tehran: IDF eliminated the commander of the oil command of the Iranian terror regime. The Air Force, with precise intelligence guidance from Military Intelligence, struck earlier this week (Saturday) in Tehran and eliminated Jamshid Eshaghi - commander of the oil command of the Iranian terror regime forces. The oil command is part of the regime's armed forces and enables the continued existence of activity and military strengthening of the regime forces through profits from oil sales. Eshaghi commanded for years the financing arm of the regime forces as well as the military industries for producing ballistic missiles and the regime's oppression mechanisms. Additionally, Eshaghi worked to provide funds intended to finance the regime's terror proxies throughout the Middle East, primarily the Hezbollah terror organization and the Houthi terror rule. For years, the Revolutionary Guards and other military bodies in Iran have been funded by enormous budgets sourced from oil sales, while circumventing international sanctions. The armed forces established dedicated commands for managing oil sales, which constitute a central component in financing the military strengthening of the Iranian regime and implementing terror operations worldwide. The IDF will continue to act against commanders and leaders of the Iranian terror regime wherever required."
