Following the elimination of senior officials and attacks on airports, the IDF struck Iran's largest petrochemical complex. The Air Force, with intelligence guidance from Military Intelligence, struck infrastructure at the Asaluyeh site, responsible for producing and exporting chemical materials to armed forces subordinate to the regime, including the Nuclear Ministry and Revolutionary Guards. The strike put out of service more than 85% of Iran's petrochemical exports. The Asaluyeh site produced materials for explosives and propellant for ballistic missiles and other warfare means. The IDF stated the strike deepens the disruption of core infrastructure for warfare means production, aiming to cause extensive and lasting damage to Iran's production capabilities and significant economic damage.
