Two aircraft were observed in holding patterns west of Tehran, with one destined for Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) and the other for Mehrabad International Airport (THR).

In a follow-up update, Shin reported that Tehran air traffic had resumed. A local source said Mehrabad Airport was extremely busy, with significantly more flights than the daily norm.
