Further support for our assessment comes from recent posts by members of the Houthi politburo. They said they toured several locations along the west coast, including Dhubab, Al Khawkha, and Mocha, but made no mention of visiting Bab al-Mandab. Given that Bab al-Mandab is only minutes away, its omission is significant. If it were under their control, we would likely have expected it to be included in the visit.
