CENTCOM Says Strait of Hormuz Transit Routes Remain Mine-Free

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) rejected claims circulated by Iranian-controlled media that commercial vessels were hitting sea mines while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM stated:

🚫 CLAIM: Over recent days and weeks, Iranian-controlled media have reported Iranian claims that commercial vessels are hitting sea mines while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. These claims are FALSE.

CENTCOM said all internationally recognized primary transit routes through the strait remain mine-free and open.
