Bomber Mission 53: B-2A Spirits Strike Again in Operation Epic Fury

A single B-2A Spirit bomber mission (BRIM35) targeted Iran as part of Operation Epic Fury, with tanker support from Lajes, Sofia, and Bucharest, highlighting potential restrictions on UK-based bombers.

Yesterday, the only bomber mission to Iran for #OperationEpicFury appears to have been 3x B-2A "Spirit" bombers, flying as "BRIM35" flt. The implication with the increasing frequency of these missions now is that the targets the US is now shifting attention to are targets that their RAF Fairford-based bombers are not being permitted to strike under the UK's "defensive strikes only" policy.

As usual with these transatlantic bombing runs, tankers from Lajes (LPLA), Sofia (LBSF) and Bucharest (LROP) were identified refuelling on the way in and out of theatre, and no doubt there are other tanker refuel points in the US mainland and inside CENTCOM itself to enable these 36+ hour missions.
