Gen. Firaq Mohsen al-Assar, commander of the Houthis’ 1st Commando Brigade, was reportedly killed with six guards on Yemen’s Kahboub front.
Sh1n reposted a report from Ali Al-Sakani stating that senior Houthi commander Gen. Firaq Mohsen al-Assar was killed alongside six of his guards in a strike on the Kahboub front near the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The Houthis officially mourned al-Assar, describing him as:
“a senior jihadist commander”
Al-Assar commanded the Houthis’ 1st Commando Brigade and had previously fought on the Marib front.
