Sh1n reposted reporting by @tzalivia that another explosion had been heard by residents in Aden as a missile attack by the Iranian-backed Houthi movement continued against Yemen’s temporary capital.

Emergency services were reportedly responding to the first impact sites near Al-Ma’ashiq Palace in central Aden, where damage was reported.

Citing South24 and other local outlets, @tzalivia reported that the palace was empty at the time of the strikes, consistent with open-source intelligence compiled by analysts in recent months. The palace has reportedly not been used extensively for more than a year because of the threat of ballistic missile attacks.

Security forces and other individuals associated with the palace’s permanent presence were nevertheless on site. It remained unclear whether employees working in the administrative offices had been evacuated.

Residents also claimed that the Houthis had extensively monitored the site with drones before the ballistic missile attack. That account remained unverified local speculation.
