Sh1n reposted a report by @manniefabian stating that an Israeli strike in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip killed Saqr Nabil Musa Qaisi.

The IDF identified Qaisi as a member of Hamas’s elite Nukhba Force who entered Israeli territory during the October 7, 2023, attack. The military also said he held a leadership role in the Turkish organization Deniz Feneri:

served as the director of the Turkish organization Deniz Feneri, which presents itself as a humanitarian aid organization but in practice maintains ties with senior figures in the Hamas terror organization's leadership and with elements within the Turkish leadership.

According to the IDF, Qaisi used his position to employ numerous terrorists and provide financial support to Hamas members. The military said Deniz Feneri and its senior figures present their work as humanitarian activity but promote fundraising in support of Hamas.

The IDF charged:

This constitutes the cynical exploitation of the humanitarian sphere to support terror activity, while advancing the activities of the Hamas terror organization under a humanitarian guise.

The military said Qaisi had recently been involved in advancing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and had attempted to restore Hamas capabilities “in systematic violation of the ceasefire.” It said he was “eliminated to remove the threat he posed” and that precautions were taken to minimize harm to civilians during the strike.
